Jurassic Bark, thank you for welcoming us with open arms to your puppy classes and supplying us with the knowledge and skills to guide our Charlie in the jungle of the world.
He has grown so much in just eight weeks, and we are excited to continue developing what you have taught us at home.

Joining the T-Ruff classes was really an amazing experience and Monique’s way of teaching dogs is 110% force-free and focused on how your specific dog learns. My first class Pippie just sat and observed because she was so overwhelmed. But with Monique’s help Pippie has grown so much and her confidence has reached new heights. Pippie now has a solid recall, is able to focus in very busy/scary environments (even at the vet) and overall she approaches every new situation with a completely different attitude. Our bond has definitely become stronger through the course of our classes with Jurassic Bark. Monique also helped me see Pippie had some hind limb discomfort (that I would have never seen myself) and I am so grateful, because I was able to take her to a physio before it was a big/painful problem.
So Benji’s situation was quite unusual. We had moved to a new house then our nine month old tri-brown colour Border Collie, started to go to the loo in our tv-room every night. He was potty trained when we received him and had access to an open door at our previous place. We did take him out a lot before bed time but he still did it for more than a month long. I was really losing hope now. Then Monique offered to come help us out. She helped me to understand that he might be feeling overwhelmed and anxious moving to the new house and that it could take about three months to settle in, even though he had a older brother to play with. They go to the park everyday to fetch ball and frizbee. She taught us how to train him with a voice recorded command button which he would press to let us know he needed to go outside. The thing I found to work best at the end was rewarding him after every toilet break he had outside. Just after he’d finish he would get a WELL DONE, some rubs on his head and a tiny treat. He hasn’t went to the loo in the house since Monique has been here.

It is wonderful the difference the T-Ruff classes made to Lady. Being a shelter doggie, it made such a difference in our lives, helping her “find her feet” and settle into her new life with us. Having been to about five different dog training schools over the years, I have to say that this is by far my best experience. The classes are varied and informative, which makes it fun and interesting for both the dog and the owner – no boring routines! Monique is very knowledgeable and addresses problems you might have at home too, which helps a lot, and everyone in class benefits by learning from each other’s experiences. Thank you to Jurassic Bark for a great experience, it does wonders for dogs and humans alike!

Dit was so lekker om te sien hoe Julie gegroei het en die klasse geniet het. Veral omdat sy soveel energie het! Nou weet ons hoe om dit die beste aan te wend. Monique en Gert het uit hul pad gegaan om die klasse insiggewend en genotvol vir almal te maak. Hulle het soveel moeite gedoen en die ekstra myl gestap. Dankie dat julle al ons vrae beantwoord het, altyd geduldig was en ons die beste raad gegee het! Ons sal hulle graag aan almal aangeveel. Uit en uit die moeite werd!
I wish we had done this with our previous pups. We’ve learnt so much and can immediately see the results. Monique and Gert are wonderful coaches.
